Kaitlan and Katie are both emerging artists at The Cru Salon, currently enrolled in the International Academy of Style while gaining hands-on experience through the Cru Assistant Program.

Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, Kaitlan is dedicated to building a strong foundation in the beauty industry. As an assistant to salon owner Bailey, she is immersed in a real-world, high-level salon environment where she continues to grow her technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional confidence.

Licensed in makeup, Kaitlan enjoys incorporating creativity and precision into her work, with a strong focus on professionalism and ongoing learning. She values building genuine, meaningful connections with clients and believes exceptional service is rooted in trust and communication. Outside of the salon and school, Kaitlan enjoys spending time with family, shopping, and unwinding with new movies and TV shows.


Originally from Loomis, California, Katie moved to Reno in 2023 to pursue her passion for beauty. After studying Marketing at the University of Nevada, Reno, she shifted her focus to helping others feel confident and radiant through hair and makeup. She is currently attending the Redken International Academy of Style and is a licensed makeup artist. 

At The Cru Salon, Katie assists under master stylist Maya Saldana, where she is refining her skills, learning advanced techniques, and gaining experience in a fast-paced, high-end environment. Specializing in both hair and makeup. With a particular love for makeup artistry, Katie is known for her attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and upbeat energy. Outside of work and school, she enjoys spending time with family and taking peaceful walks.
